About me

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). After graduating from college with a double major in English Literature and French, I was all set to pursue a career in journalism. I was a voracious reader from a young age and loved diving deeper and exploring the connections under the surface. I wanted to spend my career writing and sharing the important and sometimes overlooked stories that make up our lives.

However, there was always a voice in the back of my head that whispered to me about connection and healing. When I took the time to listen to that voice, I blew on an ember that sparked the realization that therapy is another way people can share their stories. I realized this was the kind of storytelling I was actually interested in: diving deep and excavating parts of us that have been hiding, reclaiming our voice, and forming a more cohesive narrative that incorporates all the parts of our story.

I chose social work because of the strong emphasis on social justice. I believe that the micro and macro are connected, and that what we feed grows. When we heal ourselves, we heal the collective, and our collective is deeply in need of healing.

I love my work as a therapist. It is a deep privilege and honor to be allowed into my clients’ lives, to have a front row seat to their healing, and witness them grow and come home to themselves. As a cisgender, bisexual, white woman, I am firmly committed to antiracism, dismantling systems of white supremacy, and amplifying marginalized voices.

I live in South Minneapolis with my partner, dog, and baby. When I am not working, I’m trail running, swimming laps or cold plunging, reading, tending to my plants, and doting on my baby.
